We are delighted to announce that the 1st Alpe-Adria Summer School on Applied Statistics will be held from September 25 to September 26, 2024.

The program will feature lectures and hands-on learning from distinguished experts in the field, including:

  • Hein Putter & Maja Pohar Perme: Time-dependent effects and time-dependent covariates in survival analysis
  • Janez Povh: Introduction to parallel computing in R
  • Anne-Laure Boulesteix: Introduction to statistical simulations
  • Marianne Huebner & Lara Lusa: Initial data analysis

We invite young scientists, PhD students, and exceptionally motivated undergraduates to register at https://indico.mf.uni-lj.si/e/aass. Registration is made through the Indico platform. You need to create an account, which will allow you to proceed. Once you open the account, you need to wait until a confirmation is sent to you. After that, you can proceed with the registration.

Please note that registration will close on July 26, 2024. There is no participation fee, but space is limited to 30 participants, and we anticipate a high volume of applications. Acceptance notifications will be sent by July 31, 2024. Travel and accommodation have to be arranged and financed by the participants themselves.

The working language of the School is English.
